Federal Jury Rules Cabot’s Fracking Operations in Dimock Were Negligent, Created a Nuisance

Statement by Pennsylvanians Against Fracking Spokesperson Karen Feridun

“We applaud the jury’s decision. Finally, we see long-awaited justice for the Ely and Hubert families, who had their right to clean water infringed on years ago by dangerous and reckless fracking operations in Dimock, Pennsylvania.”

“Unfortunately, fracking has injured families across the Commonwealth whose appeals for help have fallen on deaf ears in Harrisburg. Governor Tom Wolf has not even accepted their invitations to visit their communities and see firsthand what they have endured.”

“The focus is now on Governor Wolf and other state decision-makers to deliver justice to families all across Pennsylvania by stopping fracking now.”
